The Enterprise Network Services team are responsible for network innovation and providing excellent Operational, Delivery and Engineering services to the FIL business units. The ENS team operate globally, delivering support services using a follow-the-sun model, using teams located in UK, Europe, India and APAC

Purpose of your role

Your focus will be to act as a senior cloud delivery engineer within ENS, supporting the delivery of large and often sophisticated cloud projects inline with our global operating model. Leading from the front you will advise and deliver solutions identifying opportunities to drive innovation whilst improving the service to our customers and maintain continual improvement. You will lead adoption of best practice and developing standards to maintain service availability and deliver performance in line with business expectation.

You will have a broad technical understanding, with focus on network and voice technologies and a good understanding of IT-Security policy and practices. The role expects service management (incident, change & problem), supplier management, risk management, systems management (including monitoring) lifecycle management and reporting

You will work within a globally distributed technical product team and working with your peers you will provide guidance and leadership within ENS to drive standards and best practice. The ability to drive change is key; you will advise on the ENS strategy that delivers global consistency through standards, documentation, process and procedure and proactively identify tasks for automation.

Working with Fidelity technical team managers to establish your global network, you will and develop an understanding of the infrastructure and services and cooperate to achieve excellent customer service. The ability to work well with managers and peers within technology including project managers and senior stakeholders is fundamental; also important is the need to be able to work under pressure within a busy environment. Being capable of working effectively within a diverse, distributed, global team is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with management and delivery teams to act as a senior member of the ENS delivery division. Owning large scale cloud delivery initiatives which are inherently complex.
  • Act as key point of contact for product portfolio within the team and Fidelity and evangelise capabilities and encourage improved ways of working and improving integration.
  • Own and manage the relationship with the product vendor account teams.
  • Maintain clear visibility of the product vendor through engagement with product owners ensuring we always capitalising use of existing investment and understanding when the need for change is required.
  • Responsible for driving product hardware and software standards.
  • Providing guidance and support to other members of the ENS delivery teams and leading by example.
  • Responsible for ensuring project documentation is updated and available with appropriate operational handover.
  • Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Experience in using automation tools to techniques in the network and firewall space to accelerate technology deployments and consistency in configuration.
  • Experience in moving enterprise scale on premise data center network services into AWS or Azure cloud
  • Understanding of the PCI Security Standard, also the ISO20000 and ISO27001 standards.
  • Project Management (Agile) qualifications and experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools (Nectar, SolarWinds, Riverbed Shark, Wireshark, etc).
  • Leadership skills – Ability to lead by example, supporting other members of the delivery team
  • Engineering skills - Developing standards for global deployment
  • Service oriented, business aware and customer focused
  • Good organisational and planning skills, with attention to detail
  • Good documentation skills, including writing policies and procedures
  • Delivery and results driven, with the ability to manage complex client relationships

  • Requirements of Role:

  • This role expects a minimal level of out of hours and weekend working and participation in a global on call rota.
  • This role may requires occasional working from Fidelity offices outside of the Hong Kong. ENS has significant operations in UK, India and Canada, so an enjoyment of travel is advantageous.
