We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a  Protective Security Governance Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • This role will work across all PS disciplines such as risk management, operations and technology to ensure delivery of coordinated services and a program of improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Provide governance over Protective Security functions consistent with HSBC policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools to effectively coordinate and track program/project delivery.
  • Manage the development of protective security strategies to control risks and deliver customer-centric and cost efficient security services.
  • Provide security advice to HSBC businesses, functions and partners.
  • Support other PS teams with advice and constructive challenge.
  • Coordinate periodic review of PS risks and controls consistent with HSBC policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Support various internal and external compliance activities such as regulatory reviews, audits and compliance reporting activities.
  • Qualifications


  • Relevant experience in one or more related disciplines (security, risk management, corporate governance, advisory services or project management)
  • High degree of self motivation, creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, tenacity and attention to detail
  • Sound analysis, critical thinking, judgement and decision making skills
  • Strong English writing and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams and achieve cultural change
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
  • A good understanding (or ability to develop one) in areas of data, technology and automation
  • Ability to be curious, innovate and challenge the status quo
