Description:

• Provide engineering support forsystems (Windows server, Linux)in different projects
• Design, deploy, support and maintain operating systems, application software and system managementtools and server infrastructure with standard designs and configurations, take part in technical product planning, development and deployment
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Work closely with network, virtualization, database, and application teams on multi-site solutions
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Work in line with business requirements and security guidelines and thereby provide constant support till the closure of the assigned tasks
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.
• MCSE or equivalent is useful
• Experience in monitoring systems preferred
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) is highly preferred
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and/or UNIX /Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Centos etc.) based environments.
• Cloud experience, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure etc. preferred
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box) would be useful
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef) would be useful
• Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python) is useful
• 5 day work
• May work in the evenings and/or weekends depend on project needs
• May include 24 hour on-call support
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for the senior role
