The HKUST Fok Ying Tung Graduate School (FYTGS) is a university-wide office to provide oversight and support in development and delivery of postgraduate education covering the entire administration scope in this area. FYTGS is searching for self-motivated, capable individuals to fill four Officer/Assistant Officer positions to support the implementation of postgraduate policies and functions. Appointees will be stationed in the Mainland, initially in Nansha.
(a) Support implementation of academic administration policies, procedures and guidelines;
(b) Maintain online admission system and handle relevant work procedures such as issuing offers online, verifying supporting documents, and supporting student visa applications;
(c) Track postgraduate related data, support data analyses and compilation of reports for the Management;
(d) Assist the Managers to provide secretarial support to committees;
(e) Support administration of scholarship and studentship schemes; and
(f) Liaise with internal academic and administrative units, students and prospective students.
The appointees may be required to attend activities scheduled outside regular office hours occasionally. For true integration and coherence of both campuses, the appointees may be required to travel to or station in the Clear Water Bay campus from time to time, as needed.
Applicants should possess a good bachelor's degree. Good knowledge in IT, software applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation tools and data management) and social media is essential. The appointees should be self-motivated, team players who have a solution-driven mindset, possessing a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to produce quality work under pressure and tight timelines. On top of good planning, organizational and communication skills, they should have experience in working on managing databases and conducting analysis. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is required. It is best that candidates can present relevant test scores to demonstrate the English proficiency.

This is a Mainland appointment and the appointees will be offered a contract by the HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the local labor laws and regulations. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
