Purpose of Role

Provide strategic insights by seeking out problems, driving discussion and debate, through business partnering and collaboration which is deftly communicated.

Supports the Group FP&A Director in the following matters::

  • Deliver key business insights and drive efficiencies.
  • Develop relationships with senior management and across the various business lines and regions.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as SSC and ERP.
  • Help to build the FP&A brand.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Planning Annual Budget – Support the annual budgeting cycle by setting guidelines, leading the co-ordination across various regions, sectors and functions. Working alongside HFM support to develop the submission templates. Periodic Forecasting. Rolling Forecasting.
  • Supporting the ERP project from an FP&A perspective.
  • Developing and managing Group Financial Model covering P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
  • Standardising FP&A analytics across the Group and recommending best practice.
  • Monthly Board Reporting. Perform detail analysis on financial and operational trends across all countries and sectors to enhance understanding of drivers and make commercial recommendations. Variance analysis identifying trends and comparing it against the budget, forecasts, prior year and competitor, business KPls, prior years, and industry metrics where available
  • Develop and manage the reporting of KPIs.
  • Responsive to adhoc requests Prepare and present analysis in executive friendly manner covering items such as financial trends, operational efficiency, market share, etc.
  • Business Partner to Exco by supporting ad-hoc and developing standardised reports and providing business insights.
  • Working alongside investors to provide analytics as required.
  • Proactively working with various stakeholders including Regional FDs, local controllers, ERP project team, IT and HFM support to identify and implement processes to enhance FP&A across the Group.
  • Assist in financial modelling and project reporting to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Identify key commercial risks and issues.
  • Support the rest of the team wherever required.

  • Relevant Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience within the Finance field in a commercial role.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a dynamic environment of change, or through M&A.
  • MNC or regional experience in an analyst/business partnering capacity is highly preferred.
  • Strong track record in the development and implementation of FP&A changes.
  • Commercially astute and results orientated with the capacity to develop effective relationships including Exco members and deliver results in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • HFM or BI tool experience.
  • Education and Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
  • Qualified accountant with membership of CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
