Description:

Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree in Chinese Medicine from local universities plus four years' post-qualification research work experience; (ii) proficiency in Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment; (iii) proficiency in writing, typing, and speaking Chinese and English; (iv) interest in big data research from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine; (v) competency in computer applications including Excel and SPSS; and (vi) the ability to work independently and as a team.

Appointee(s) will join an exciting project team of Chinese medicine clinicians and information engineers at School of Chinese Medicine and Department of Information Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He/She will be able to learn how to apply the state-of-the-art big data techniques to aggregate clinically-useful diagnostic and treatment information from raw data in Chinese medicine.

Duties include (a) entry and analysis of raw data; (b) preparation of user-dictionary in Chinese medicine; (c) evaluation of computer-readout based on the established principles and practices of Chinese medicine; and (d) other research and administrative duties as assigned.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for fifteen months, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
