Assistant Computer Officer

The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing professional technical support in IT services and technical support to the Faculty Office; (b) managing IT and AV equipment, including development of equipment inventory; (c) participating in NAS system support and maintenance to ensure the back-end services are running in smooth performance; (d) providing support in website development, maintenance and social media platforms; (e) producing faculty videos, and liaising with internal and external clients; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours (including in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays) will be required occasionally. 

Applicants should have (i) a recognised Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree in Information Technology, Digital Media or related disciplines; (ii) technical knowledge of operating digital video equipment (experience in lighting and shooting on DSLRs and other HD cameras is preferred); (iii) experience in IT and video equipment management; (iv) proficiency in editing tools, webpage and design software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audio Audition, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat); (v) experience in network performance, network security and storage systems (e.g. NAS); (vi) experience in MS Office Suite; (vii) the ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines; (viii) the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and (ix) a sense of accountability. At least 3 years%26rsquo; work experience in IT support and the media industry is preferred. Applicants are welcome to submit their portfolio in the application. 

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
