Description:

One of the Global MNC which is the market leader of its field, is now seeking a Database Administrator to join their team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Daily database administration of Enterprise Systems with 24-hour on-call service of the systems
  • Responsible for performance & availability monitoring, capacity management, systems management & tuning, configuration & services level management, problem diagnosis & resolution, security management & patch application, change management, of the supported database systems
  • Perform installation, administration and support on the database systems
  • Responsible for database maintenance work in production and testing environment
  • Develop, establish and review standards, procedures and configuration documents
  • Perform database products and related tools evaluation and provide recommendations to management

    • Requirements

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years solid working experience in Oracle Database
  • Hand-on experience in Sybase database administration will be an added advantage
  • Experience in other database system such as MS SQL, MySQL is preferable
  • Experience in RedHat, is also preferably
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as senior position
  • Initiative and strong willingness to learn new technology
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, good command of Putonghua an added advantage
