The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is an internationally-recognized school of public health in the Asia-Pacific region, committed to excellence in education and health research. Further information about the School is available at http://www.sphpc.cuhk.edu.hk. The School invites applications for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer.
Applicants should (i) possess at least a master's degree in public health (or other relevant disciplines) with strong epidemiology background and at least one postgraduate level statistics course; (ii) at least 4 years of post-master’s degree experience for the post of Lecturer; (iii) have strong teaching experience (particularly in epidemiology); and (iv) be proficient in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is preferred but not essential. The successful applicant(s) will be required to teach in different areas of public health.
Day-to-day duties include (a) conducting epidemiology lectures, tutorials and computer lab sessions for post-graduate, undergraduate public health and undergraduate medical courses; (b) preparing course materials; (c) grade assessments; (d) student consultations; and (e) supervision of undergraduate final year projects. Job duties will also include managerial/administrative duties for our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one to two years commencing in May or June 2021, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
