The Strategy function supports the development and execution of planned strategic agenda including regional strategic initiatives, M&A activities, assessment of new market development, and Strategic Investments.

The Strategic Investments team focuses on innovative technologies, products and services relevant for Prudential Corporation Asia “PCA’s” innovation and long-term growth, as investment and partnership opportunities. You will work with key stakeholders to identify and develop the strategic agenda for PCA, with a focus on fintech, healthtech and insurech sectors.

We are currently recruiting experienced M&A and strategy professionals to join our Strategy or Strategic Investments team in the Regional Head Office in Hong Kong and expand our capabilities. We will also consider candidates with more or less relevant experience for different levels of the role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support PCA Regional Head Office on delivering key strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and support strategic projects - target screening, diligence and valuation; manage processes with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Requires clear articulation of value (base and synergies), and strong project management on diligence and valuation.
  • Support the team to conduct market and competitive analyses, report writing and project management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external advisers and networks.
  • Candidate Specifications:

  • 4-8 years relevant experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or direct equity investment. Candidates with insurance knowledge will be prioritised.
  • Core strength is valuation, financial analysis, strong quantitative and financial modeling skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly-organised, ability to deliver under pressure with multi-task and interact with all levels of stakeholders across the region.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese written and oral communication proficiency a strong advantage, but not required.
  • Quantitative degree from a leading institution.
