Executive Officer II(s) (carrying the job title of ‘College Development Officer’) Shaw College is an energetic college with an aspiration to nurture “Excellence with a Soul, and Leadership with a Heart” of students. The College will continue to stay true to its founding aspiration of “learning, innovation and benefitting mankind”. The College is currently looking for enthusiastic and devoted person(s) to join the team dedicated to the whole-person development of students.
The appointee(s) will be a member of the team in which job rotation is practised for the benefits of team members as well as the college. Duties may include (a) planning, implementing and evaluating student-oriented services and activities, college events and alumni programmes; (b) performing committee work, project write up and presentations, administrative and other tasks as required; (c) supporting college administration, human resources and financial management functions; (d) management of facilities and amenities including student hostels; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) at least 2 years’ post-qualification executive experience; (v) an outgoing personality, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills; (vi) a strong team spirit, a strong sense of work ethic and self-motivation; (vii) genuine interest in working with students, young people, and various stakeholders of the College; (viii) an ability to work independently and efficiently, with flexibility and creativity in problem solving; (ix) strong organisational skills and attentiveness to details; (x) willingness to work outside office hours as necessary; and (xi) competency in IT applications. Experience/Expertise in tertiary education administration, youth work, experiential learning, talent development, or public sector service will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
