Programme Lead (BB-CACC3)

Description:

· Understand and collect business requirements front-to-back from the Team and craft adequate solutions

· Engage with internal clients and product based teams to ensure their requirements are understood and adequately supported

· Support solution architects and cloud engineers to analyze infrastructure requirements and to craft business solutions that support future business growth

· Drive innovation and system harmonization forward considering non-functional and regulatory requirements as well the future technology architecture

· Work in international project and change environments, closely with colleagues in Investment, IT and Operations as well as external partners

· Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders · Act as an internal consultant to the team, providing guidance and training on building data driven pricing models

· Help to improve the overall technical analytics capabilities of the team

· Drive the use of analytics to steer portfolios within the China team by developing new approaches and successfully selling them to the business

· Develop an expert knowledge of the company’s data and data systems

· Function as a project lead, manage projects and mentor junior modelers

· Develop and support implementation of the IT Architecture Strategy and Data Architecture · Define technology roadmaps and delivery sequences for implementing the IT/Data Architecture Strategy and Data Architecture

· Conduct Data Product/Platform reviews and evaluations

· Define & maintain Data Architecture/Governance Policies, Processes, Standards and Best practices

· Define and implement Data Governance procedures including build out of enterprise data catalog and lineage

· Participate in technical innovation proof-of-concepts

· Participate in Architecture and data design reviews

· Create Conceptual data models and review Logical, Physical and Canonical data models working with Enterprise Data Services (Ontology, Semantic Reconciliation, etc.)

· Review and approve Data Management, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Quality Management policies and procedures

· Ensure Corporate and Regulatory compliance in regards to data and information

· Technical mentoring of data services capability

· Work with international parent company to align global strategy and standards with local agendas/initiatives

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

· Experience in agile methodologies, solution design and project management

· Broad understanding of data models and data analytics tools knowledge

· Ideally experience with cloud-computing and common technology sourcing models

· Experience in building and implementing predictive models in the insurance industry, preferably for P&C and motor lines

· Qualified P&C Actuary preferable

· Progressive experience in data modeling, integration and visualization, participation in solution architecture

· Advanced degree in a quantitative field, preferably with significant emphasis on predictive modeling, data mining or machine learning

· Thorough, hands-on understanding of advanced modeling methods such as regression, GLMs, GAMs, decision trees, ensemble and regularization techniques etc.

· Experience building models on data sets using statistical software (Emblem, Python, SAS, R, SPSS, KXEN, Stata, etc.). Significant experience with Emblem is highly desirable

· Experience with Data Governance, Data Retention, Data Storage, and Data Service Integration

· Ability to work efficiently and effectively with large data sets from a variety of sources, including both internal and external data

· Strong programming skills in SQL required. Experience with Python, SAS or R preferable

· Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret data and modeling results, and to then communicate them to audiences with differing levels of technical understanding

· Experience with modern data pipelines, data streaming, and using real time analytics tools · Experience in Big data solutions and emerging technologies like (Hadoop, Columnar, Spark, Python, NoSQL, Graph Databases, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.)

· Solid communicator – verbal, oral and presentation skills; able to present highly technical subject matter across a variety of stakeholder levels

· Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally

· Proven track record of training up others in predictive modelling related skills and programs such as Emblem

· Skilled in project management

· Organized, self-motivated, results-oriented, and very resourceful

· Ability to work in a dynamic, very international and culturally sensitive environment
