    The Sustainability/Net-Zero Office is looking for a creative, organised and self-motivated Sustainability Assistant Manager (SSC) to assist in driving the initiative titled "Sustainability Smart Campus as a Living Lab (SSC)". The initiative is a signature program launched by the University in 2019 and the appointee will join a dynamic and passionate team within the Sustainability/Net-Zero Office.

    Reporting to the Director of Sustainability/Net-Zero, the appointee will oversee the SSC Program with key responsibilities as follows:

  • managing daily operations of the SSC program, including monitoring budget, tendering and procurement, coordinating meeting and drafting meeting minutes, among other tasks;
  • serving as secretary for the SSC Steering Committee to ensure successful and well-organised quarterly meetings, developing briefing materials for senior leadership and overseeing SSC annual report;
  • developing plans to support and actively facilitating the SSC project teams to ensure progress is up to schedule and within budgets; serving as 'bridge-builder' between project teams and professional operational staff within the University in order to fulfil the project goals with minimised barriers and disruptions;
  • liaising with internal and external stakeholders to create new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations within the University community and Hong Kong; and
  • leading and supervising colleagues and student interns to execute plans and achieve set goals and targets.
  • Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant and solid work experience in project management and marketing. Prior experience in tertiary experience with substantial community outreach and engagement experience will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate should be mature, detail-minded, thoughtful, organised and have good communication and interpersonal skills; be a good team player with an open mind as well as the ability to multi-task and have a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required.     Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
