- Lead client delivery with close management of team effort, focusing on high quality output and in a time efficient approach.
- Develop as the subject-matter expert internally and externally in key topics related to Mercer Wealth's solutions. Develop good understanding of Mercer methods and tools (or recognized equivalent) in coaching junior members in completing assignments.
- Attend to day-to-day enquiries from clients or internal counterparts in a responsive manner.
- Contribute to research and intellectual property as part of forming Mercer's views on investment or retirement trends. Current areas of interest for Mercer includes private markets, sustainable investments and climate transition challenges, as an example.
- Participate as a significant team member with respect to sales by driving new business proposals and extending the range of services provided to retirement and other lines of business' clients as appropriate.
- Interact with internal local and regional team members to contribute to collaborative culture and demonstrate proactive behaviour.
- 10-12 years of proven experience in the investment or pension advisory industry, with some client-facing responsibilities.
- Experience in analytical coverage and dealing with various asset classes, investment vehicles and/or pension structures.
- Sound project management and coaching skills, able to plan ahead to achieve project milestones and execute in a timely manner with strong commitment on quality.
- Strong analytical and technical skills. Comfortable with conducting comparative analysis, managing large amounts of data in an efficient manner. Ability to articulate complex and technical information in layman and concise ways through written and verbal communication.
- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, Outlook). Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong language capabilities in English. Cantonese and/ or Mandarin would be an added advantage.
- Actuarial qualifications to include any of the following:Numerate subjects such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, actuarial science, finance, economicsActuarialCFACAIA.

SUMMARY
We are currently seeking to add to our investment and retirement consulting team. Based in Hong Kong, this role will oversee the delivery of client work, lead client accounts and support business development activities. The role reports to the Head of Wealth for Hong Kong.
As a Senior Consultant, you will be involved in projects on asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment solutions and governance frameworks for clients' investment programs. These programs can compose of endowments, long-term funds and employee savings programs. You will help clients define strategy, design retirement plans, manage plan finances, comply with regulatory requirements and manage risk. The work also suits individuals that work towards being a recognized subject matter expert and comfortable with managing large-scale projects.
