- Support the implementation of claims management strategies and objectives for the region / branch
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications to approve claims within appropriate authority levels
- Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve Claims systems and procedures
- Maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general public
- Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards
- Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried out
- Ensure recoverable amounts are assessed and effectively followed up and approving significant claims within written authority levels
- Ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise and leadership
- May supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the team
- Provide guidance to other Claims colleagues when needed
- 3+ years of handling financial lines claims
- Strong knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes
- Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications
- LLB is preferred
- Experienced in handling legal cases
- Organizational and communication skills
- Analytical and negotiation skills
- Communication Skills in English and Chinese
