- This incumbent will be part of Economic Research Department
- Collect and analyze data on economic conditions that affect the Bank's business (e.g., inflation, national debt)
- Prepare reports discussing economic forecasts and their impact on the industry and the organization
- Produce economic papers to assist management in its investment decision and strategy making process
- Provide advice on a variety of economic issues and country risk provisioning reports
- Forecast economic and financial indicators and conduct stress test under different economic scenario Requirements
- Minimum of a University graduate in Economics. A master degree or above is preferred
- Proven related working experience
- Excellent command of English and Cantonese. Ability to converse in Mandarin a positive
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationship with others
- Manage projects including adhering to the project schedule, identifying problems and developing resourceful solutions
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for Economist
