My pedagogy includes seeing each child as a complete individual, with unique characteristics, interests, and abilities. I aim to tailor my approach to each student, so they are empowered to reach their fullest potential. My goal is to prepare every child for the high expectations of education within Hong Kong, without adding additional pressure. I therefore value play-based learning, sensory stimulation, environmental connection, and a warm and welcoming approach to best support students on their unique journey to reaching their full potential. 

St. Catherine’s International Kindergarten and Nursery                           August 2021 – Present
K2 Curriculum Coordinator (May 2022 - Present)
• Currently lead a team of 20 K2 teachers, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes through monthly and weekly team meetings that discuss upcoming events, activities, resource collaborations, and the overall curriculum.
• Stay abreast on current educational research and best practices through personal professional development. Used this knowledge to inform curriculum decisions and instructional strategies and update resources accordingly.  
• Work closely with other curriculum coordinators and school administrators to ensure effective vertical alignment and integration of the K2 curriculum with other grade levels.
• Observe teacher lessons at least once a term to provide constructive feedback and ensure consistency in instruction across the team. 
• Develop long-term planning such as the yearly overview and medium-term planning such as the monthly curriculum, inclusive of documents for parent communication to be approved by school administrators and distributed to teachers. 
• Facilitated the first English K2 school talk from ‘Plastic Free Seas.’ 

K1 & K2 Class Teacher (August 2021 - Present)
• Manage two classes of up to 32 students each daily in a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Developed and implemented lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in various subjects including topic, phonics, concept, and reading with an aim of building student confidence and scaffolding learning.
• Effectively communicate with Chinese co-teachers and staff to optimize student learning and care.
• Conducted regular assessments and maintained accurate records of student progress, providing timely feedback to parents.
• Utilized a variety of teaching strategies and instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, such as investing in visual aids and fidget tools to support students.

Private English and Mathematics Tutor 
• Actively communicated with parents and schoolteachers regarding student progress and class preferences.
• Worked with students of varying ability, ages 2-11, to improve English and Mathematics or prepare for standardized subject exams.
• Assisted in writing a new primary level English workbook, due to my strong Microsoft office skills, creativity, and class satisfaction rate.
• Worked 45 hours a week across 6 days a week, not including any additional hours for company meetings or special events such as parents’ meetings, birthday parties, graduation ceremonies, etc. which occur outside working hours.
