A former senior Officer in the Hong Kong Police Force with 34 years service at strategic command level, I have served in specialist units including elite counter terrorism, close protection and witness relocation, together with operational management of Force level major operations,l. I bring a level of expertise and exposure that is very difficult to attain in the private sector. I am passionate about performance management and service provision. Integrity, professionalism and discretion are key to my beliefs. Having led a command of 600 officers, I understand the importance of people skills, motivation and empathy. My rule in life is never to ask my subordinate staff to do something that I cannot do. Making a difference for the better in the lives of my colleagues is central to my work ethic.

I have extensive law enforcement experience having served in the HONG KONG Police Force for 34 years. I reached the top 1.7% rank structure and commanded operational Divisions and Districts of 600+ police officers. My experience includes strategic operational command, training, crime and security with repeated tours in elite counter terrorism and personal close protection units in the Police Force, for which I have received a gallantry awarded medal and commendations at HKSAR level. 

I have received specialist training in the areas of close quarters combat, firearms certification in short & long range weapons, explosive breaching, protective motorcade driving, as well as command training l. I have received training from the American Secret Service, United Kingdom Specialist Firearms & Anti-terrorism Unit SO 13, Singapore  STAR Team and have trained alongside some of the best law enforcement units in the world.

I have in depth knowledge of intelligence handling, briefing and tier classification processing including the handling of information graded at “Secret” level.

As a Commander, I have experience in supervising both junior and senior ranked officers in all aspects of HR management include recruitment, training & development, discipline and investigation.

Having concluded this phase of my work life, I wish to transition to the private sector and assimilate new skills and exposure.I am passionate in my work and am a committed individual.

Degree holder with Honours in Economics from the University of Swansea, United Kingdom.

Professional qualifications including criminal law, legal procedure & policy, discipline, miscellaneous laws, administration and finance.

Qualified by the International Occupational Safety and Health Council in Risk management, accident investigation, display screen and manual handling.
