Chu Yat Sing Philip

During the 17 years from 1990 working in primary schools, I earned the experience to handle different kinds of issue with students, parents and even colleagues. I love to communicate with people and try to understand their needs so as to give them guidance and direction. I taught Chinese, English, Mathematics, Music in normal class and all the subjects in remedial class.

In 2000, I followed the founder of Sunrise Christian Community, Rev. Gary Shek, and started to serve as a volunteer in church until 2009, and then I was employed as an intern pastor. From Jan 2012 to April 2020, I was a full-time pastor in Sunrise and I was ordained in 2018. In May 2020, I applied to be a part-time pastor until Aug 2021.

In the past 20 years, besides providing general pastoral service for the church, I also helped to do the pre-marriage counseling for more than 10 couples with my wife. 

I love outdoor activities. Usually I play tennis twice a week and swim once a week. I enjoy to communicate and play with people with different characters. I am willing to receive new challenges and share my enthusiasm for those people I meet in the rest of life. In this year 2022, I spent several months to join a course and got the certificates of physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistants. I hope that some days I can serve those people in need.
